Nauru - Getting there & away
Nauru's national airline is Air Nauru, and it is the main carrier to the island. It flies from Manila, Guam, Fiji, a couple of destinations in Micronesia, New Zealand and the major cities on Australia's east coast. The airport is in Yaren, next to Parliament House, the police station and the administration offices.
Getting around Nauru
A sealed road 19km (12 mi) long circles the island, and you can hire cars or take one of two taxis to literally get around. Several kilometres of road runs inland to the Buada District, the brackish lagoon and the phosphate-mining areas. A 5km (3mi) railway carries phosphate to the coast.
